Philips Electronics' "Meaningful Innovations" 2014 winner

Over 1,057 entries received for the Philips Electronic's 'Meaningful Innovations' program down to five (5) finalist are chosen. Recently, the winning idea was awarded and goes to Iliac Diaz's Solar Night Light Project, held at Aracama Restaurant, BGC Taguig City.


The ceremony was attended by World Wide Fund for Nature Philippines (WWP-Philippines) CEO and Vice Chairman of the Board Mr. Jose Ma. Lorenzo Tan, Department of Health Assistant Secretary Enrique Tayag and Director for National Center for Health Promotion Dr. Ivanhoe Escartin and ICANSERVE Foundation Founding President Ms. Kara Magsanoc-Alikpala. 

Iliac Diaz is more than proud and excited to execute the Solar Night Light Project specially because the survivors and community in Tacloban and Iloilo who were victimized by the Super Typhoon Haiyan last year.

"Each solar bottle light saves 200 kilos of carbon emissions by preventing burning of fossil fuels that is commonly used by power plants to generate electricity" Iliac shared.
